Broad-Leaf Weeds

How We Take Care Of Them

General Information

When conditions are favorable, broad-leaf weeds, e.g. dandelions, clover, chickweed, etc, are treated. Temperatures and humidity affect how quickly you will see the weeds react, but several weeks may pass before they begin to show signs of decline.

We have chosen the best available products, but there are variables that can reduce the effectiveness of herbicides:

Lack of soil moisture

When dry conditions prevail, weeds enter a dormant state, shutting down the processes that respond to the herbicide, and results are poor.

Rainfall/Humidity

Modern herbicides are designed to work on contact, however, we get the best results when it’s not actively raining during application. However, once the product has been applied a window of a few hours is all that is needed for activation.

Weed species

Certain varieties of weeds are hardier and often take repeated applications to gain control. Clover, violets, and buttercup are among the hardier species.

After an herbicide application, please delay 4 weeks from the treatment date before planting new grass seed.
