For Healthy Plants, Use SuperRoots

Our SuperRoots program promotes stronger, healthier roots, without creating unwanted top growth.

SuperRoots Bio-essentials has Soil building and plant-enhancing nutrients in one application:

-micro and macro plant nutrients

-live soil microbes

-fulvic soil acids

-root-building organisms

SuperRoots is designed to help your landscape plantings thrive year-round.

-Healthy green leaves and needles

-More and bigger blossoms

-Improved insect and disease resistance.

SuperRoots includes macro and micro-nutrients (13 different nutrients in all), and beneficial biological elements found in naturally healthy soils. Our SuperRoots bio-fertilizer program encourages plants to reach their potential, bringing deeper color to leaves and needles, larger and more colorful blooms, and prolific fine root development.

The addition of mycorrhizal (my-cor-eye-zal) fungi in our blend will aid in improved nutrient and water uptake, disease resistance, and superior appearance and growth. These “good guy” fungi colonize plant roots where their thread-like filaments extend the root system into the soil and play important roles in plant nutrition, soil biology, and soil chemistry. Several miles of these filaments can be present in less than a thimbleful of soil. Of the various forms of soil organisms that benefit plants, the most are known about mycorrhizae.

Plants in natural settings get their nutrients from fallen needles and leaves that are decomposed by soil organisms. Normal landscape housekeeping removes much of this natural material, leaving plants without access to nutrients. Replenishing these necessary elements can be achieved by applying compost (NOT fresh ground bark, as it will rob nutrients from plants as it decomposes) and root fertilizing.

If plants don’t thrive; there is a reason. We can assist you in finding out what steps need to be taken to help them perform better. Email us or submit a quote request on our website or call us to request an evaluation. At times, there may be a need to add fungicide to the fertilizer for trees battling root rot fungus.

Product Placement:

The root structure of the variety we are targeting determines the placement of the fertilizer. Rhododendrons are an example of a surface application method due to shallower feeder roots.

Non-woody feeder roots tend to be smaller and have fine root hairs that are necessary to absorb water and nutrients from the soil. The water from these roots will feed into the branches and leaves of larger woody roots for transport into the tree trunk

for distribution to the branches and leaves. Familiar terms such as deep-root fertilizing are actually inaccurate descriptions as most roots are in the top 8 inches of the soil.

Water Required:

Plantings under an eave or otherwise covered from rainfall will need 1/2” of water on the fertilized area as soon as possible, otherwise, normal rainfall/ irrigation will be sufficient.
